The Summer School departs from the so-called crisis of public space and explores the concept of the commons as a third element that complements the state and the market. Thus it aims at reframing and invigorating the debate on public space based on an aggressive repudiation of neoliberal politics as much as a radical re-imagination of alternative cities beyond capitalism.
The Summer School will take place from the 22nd – 29th of June 2014. Each day is dedicated to the study of one practice: collective learning and unlearning, communal living, collective listening, collective planning and imagining, cruising and acting together, collaborative trading and common debate. Together we want to explore their potential with regard to commoning and the commons.
